Just learned tonight it was the Hyundai Santa Fe after a commercial featuring Phil Pritchard and the Stanley Cup ( from an hockey addict like me's point of view, that guy just has one of the greatest jobs in the world.. )

Interestingly, Mondeo Wagons always have been more common than sedans/hatchbacks here, but now the few remaining are almost on par.

GTI Cabrio I (Sept 83+) listed with same 1781cc 112bhp as normal GTI in same period until 92/93. However faint memory that it might have had softer suspension/tyres etc. There was no GTI Cabrio I 16v.
